Cobion concrete is defined as low carbon because it has 30% lower CO₂ emissions than standard concrete based on CEM I.
Cobion low-carbon concrete exceeds current trends. Our low-carbon concrete already achieves some of the goals set by CEMBUREAU, the European Cement Association, for 2050, such as a clinker factor under 65%.
According to data from the Association of Slovak Cement Producers from 2022, Cobion concrete has a smaller carbon footprint compared to conventional concrete by 20 to 40 kg per 1 m³ (depending on concrete class).
This means that a medium-sized residential project with 20,000 m³ of concrete can save 400,000 to 800,000 kg of CO₂ by using Cobion concrete.
Our Cobion low-carbon concrete provides a significantly lower carbon footprint while retaining all the properties of standard concrete. Every modern and environmentally responsible building can take advantage of our Cobion for a smaller carbon footprint.

Wide range of solutions
Cobion low-carbon concrete is available in various strength classes, from C12/15 to C30/37, which covers most construction needs in Slovakia. We also offer special low-carbon products for piles and concrete floors.
Our team of experts from TCC (Danucem Technical Competence Center) continues to move forward on new innovations and solutions.
